Everything makes a Diffference.

Now for a few days, I have been living with my uncle, aunty and their two kids. They are really fun.

But today I was having brain fog as a lot of things were happening simultaneously. Didn't know whom to ask where to focus and when. So I woke up and went towards my go-to therapy place. I took my bike from the basement sat on it and rode it to the therapy place did nothing fancy but just sat down on the sand, closed my eyes and listened to the sounds of waves crashing and the feeling of a cool breeze on my skin.

While I was sitting I randomly thought of opening the 'Notes' app for a change rather than any social media app on my phone and decided to read my old notes. For context, I have a habit of making notes of every shit that I find I'll just write and never look at it ever again. For if I come across a phrase that I find cool or if I am reading a book or I read a certain word that I don't know the meaning of  I google it and note it down and when mummy gives me a grocery list etc. And after reading that I felt so motivated. Something that I noted down maybe 1 year back made sense to me and most importantly motivated me at that moment.

So I started to think about all the things that I did which I thought would make no difference in my life but they actually did.

For example, I was never a reader. I used to get bored the moment I opened any book that didn't have pictures in it. So one of my mentors suggested I start with reading story books which are for kids. After saying that he actually suggested I read bedtime stories for kids. I looked at him and gave an expression that my mom gives me when I ask her to buy me a chocolate whenever we are out buying groceries.

When my mentor said that I was like, I know how to read just because I get bored easily that doesn't mean that you will suggest me to do this childish shit. But in the end, I did start with that and I started enjoying it and eventually moved to a more sophisticated version of literature, 'Comics'.

But reading those bedtime storybooks again came to my rescue when my cousin brother who is 4 years old now asked me to tell him bedtime stories. And since I had spent almost a month reading those I had a whole library of stories in my head and my brother loves it and now we have become so close that he asks for me every time he sleeps.

My whole point is that while doing anything in your life don't just do it just for the sake of completing the job. Do it with the utmost curiosity and try to find out what things you can learn from that.

Another example is when I was a freshy at my job my boss used to give me the task of delivering a certain parcel to a nearby office. Everyone in the office used to hate doing it because the boss of the office in which we had to deliver used to make us wait in his lobby for hours and then he used to take that parcel. Since I was a freshy I was assigned to do it so the first day I went and nearly waited for 2hrs and then he came and took the parcel. The next day same thing happened. I came and waited for hours and then he took the parcel. This kept happening for weeks and now my patience levels were being tested I felt. But still, since I had no other choice I had to do it.

One day I went and I started to talk to the receptionist there. And within a few days we became friends and after bringing the parcel while waiting we used to talk and I used to ask her about her boss and the company etc. Within a few days I knew almost everything about the company and also their boss.

The next day I knocked on the door of my boss and asked him to trust me to go talk to the boss of the office I used to go to to deliver parcels, for a deal that my boss was trying to negotiate with him for some time. My boss trusted me and I asked
my receptionist friend for her boss's schedule so that I could squeeze in between his meetings for negotiating.

I went there with my formals on, blue strips shirt no coat to be precise because blue was his favourite colour. I entered his lobby while he was just finishing up his last meeting and he saw me and said to me "Hey nice shirt, what are you here for?"

I replied flaunting my gift basket full of his favourite things "My boss sent you this hope you like it, and I wanted to talk to you about your deal with him"

He came closer, I was trying to stand up still but internally all my sensors were going off and my legs were shivering as if they had no strength. He took a look at the gift basket and said,

"Okay, let's talk in my office"

And just like that I went it and cracked a sweet deal for my boss and the cherry on top was that I also got invited to his place for lunch to discuss further on the deal.

So ultimately what I am trying to say is everything you do, every meniscal thing matters. Life is very unpredictable you would never know what small thing or knowledge you have will come to your rescue.

Stay vigilant for opportunities, and stay curious, cheers.
